Hanlin Long received his master’s degree from Southern University of Science and Technology, and his bachelor’s degree from Harbin Institute of Technology. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student in Southern University of Science and Technology. His research interests include arbitrary-modal based semantic segmentation algorithms, weakly suprvised learning and data-driven modelling and optimization.

Hao Tan is a SUStech-Leeds joint PhD student (2021 – ), supervised by Prof. Ran Cheng and Prof. Nabi Omidvar. He received the B.Eng. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from SUSTech in 2020. Before being admitted by the SUSTech-Leeds joint PhD programme, he was a RA with EMI group, supervised by Prof. Ran Cheng.

Dr. Haoyu Zhang received the Ph.D. degree in automatic con.trol in 2022 from Donghua University, Shanghai, China. He is currently a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) with the School of Information Science and Technology, Hangzhou Normal University, Hangzhou, China.

Heran has years’ experience of operation management and technology innovations implementation in FMCG industry.

Hui Bai received her bachelor and master degrees from Xiangtan University. She has completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Southern University of Science and Technology. Her research interests include evolutionary computation and optimization problems in logistics.

Jia Liu received the B.Sc. degree from Shenyang University of Technology, Shenyang, China, in 2015, and the M.Sc. degree from Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China, in 2018. She is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree, focusing on adversarial deep learning and evolutionary neural architecture search, with the Department of Computer Science, University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom.

Jianqing now is a Research Assistant with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology, China. Prior to that, he received his M.Eng degree from Central South University, Changsha, China, 2020.

Kaiqi is the Secretary of EMI Group.

Leta Yobsan Bayisa received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2021 and 2023, respectively, in software engineering. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Southern University of Science and Technology. His research interests include deep learning and computer vision.

Lianghao Li received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2015 and 2018, respectively, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation. His current research interests is large-scale multiobjective optimization and its applications.

Lishuang Wang now is a MPhil student at Southern University of Science and Technology, China.

Qiangqiang Jiang now is a Research Assistant with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology, China. Prior to that, he received his M.Eng degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, 2020.

He was  a Research Assistant (2018-2021) with the Department of Computer Science  and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology, China. Prior to that,  he received his B. S. degree in Internet of Things from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, 2018.

Sifei Wen now is an alumna of Southern University of Science and Technology, China.

Tao Jiang received his bachelor’s and master’s degree from the Lanzhou University of Technology. Currently, he is a joint Ph.D. student between the Southern University of Science and Technology and the Peng Cheng Laboratory. His research interests include evolutionary computation, optimization problems in scheduling.

Teng Wang received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Sun Yat-sen University. He has completed his Ph.D. as a joint graduate between Southern University of Science and Technology and The University of Hong Kong. His research interests include neural architecture search and self-supervised learning.

Woldeyes Surafel Kifetew received his bachelor’s degree in software engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2021 and his master’s degree in computer science and engineering from Central South University in 2023. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Southern University of Science and Technology. His research interests include edge computing, optimization, and deep reinforcement learning.

Xukun Liu now is an alumnus of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology, China.

Yanchen Li received his MPhil degree from the Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen, China, in 2024. He is currently a PhD student at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where his research focuses on brain-inspired computing and machine learning systems.

Yansong Huang now is an alumnus of Southern University of Science and Technology, China.

Yichen Li now is an alumna of Southern University of Science and Technology, China.

Dr. Zhichao Lu was a Postdoc Fellow (2020/10 – 2022/08) with EMI Group. Currently, he is an Associate Professor with Sun Yat-sen University and a Visisting Professor with EMI Group.
